CYANOTYPES

wonder of nature

To celebrate Earth Day I created a series of four cyanotypes called the 'Wonder of Nature' With these images I tried to evoke that nature follows a wise order that ( invisible to our eyes) goes on with or without us; creating new life. This makes us believe that 'Another World is Possible’ as nature always endures and regenerates.

Nature is chaos and order at the same time. When I observe nature I realized that there is another side of things that we might have never considered and what is not seen is usually more important than what is seen. Through the ages, mother nature and its four-season have been a metaphor for life and its renewal. This time invites us to calibrate our internal compass to connect with the invisible order of things and the energy of Earth.

Cyanotypes is a process that allowed me to use different elements of mother earth and fusion them to honor its day. For the composition, I used flowers, plants, and herbs (turmeric). Sunlight to print the images and water to cease the process of development.
